Methodist Central Hall Westminster
Methodist Central Hall Westminster was opened in 1912 & built to celebrate the centenary of the death of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. It is just across the road from Westminster Abbey and a 'stone's throw' from Parliament. In 1946 the United Nations was founded in the Great Hall of Methodist Central Hall & it has witnessed speeches from Sir Winston Churchill, Revd Dr Martin Luther King and Gandhi. Today it is home to a growing Christian Church and Central London's largest conference centre. The church hosts a bi-monthly Jazz Vespers service, led by saxophonist Dan Forshaw.
