John Featherstone
Guitarist, singer and composer, specialising in juxtaposing classical and contemporary modes in performances, which range from solo concerts to choral works, the latest being a classical-jazz-gospel setting of the Te Deum for 2 vocal ensembles plus choir.
On the instrumental front, John composes and performs on the unique 7-string guitar built for him by Andy Manson.
He has 15 CDs of his own music, plus extensive collaborative work. Performance contexts include theatres and cathedrals as well as small halls, churches, prisons, bars, and people’s front rooms.
He currently has a quarter time post as music director at St Michaels Church in Paris.
